Okay, so it’s time to put some work out there…yes, to submit photos and see if they make the cut to get published! While I like my photos, I often wonder whether they might appeal to others, after all, we all have our own view of the panorama when we are out and about. I am pleased to have had two photographs published in “NZ Photographer” magazine, as part of the readers contributions in recent months – not the cover yet, but hey, one day at a time! Also, a little bit of motivation to keep on going out there and continue working on taking some fabulous shots.
Meanwhile, I’ve invested in a new lens, which I’m rather excited about! I wanted a good everyday lens for street, portrait and landscapes. While I think of my camera as more for action, I would still like the opportunity to capture some great shots of what’s happening around me, allowing low-light capability. A nice dent in the wallet, but a little early birthday present to myself! Now, working towards a massive lens so I can really capture those surf shots a mile out from the shoreline without losing quality…in the meantime, a few of my latest out at Muriwai again.
