Well, how did it already get to over half way through Autumn already! It was a long, hot summer, and I think it would be safe to say I had my last swim of the season over Easter Weekend, which while a sunny gorgeous day lent itself to being slightly chilly and a little invigorating in the water, but let’s just call it “pleasantly refreshing”. Things have been quiet on the photography front, and I’m working hard at finding time to get out and about right now. Now that I’ve joined our local photography club, it’s time to get on board with a few challenges, and this month I’m looking for some ideas that conjure up images of being “Abandoned”. I have a few ideas of isolated landscapes, battered buildings, and no longer occupied natural environments, but I guess there are many directions we could take when thinking out of the box, it might even be a great opportunity for some story-telling through photo journalism in the city. So, keep a look out for some hopefully interesting concepts soon…I might have been away from my photography and writing for a while, but I won’t abandon you!
